研究成果介紹

改善與發展CAM5-SITTaiCAM-SITMJO 的模擬: 將一維海洋模式SIT耦合至TaiCAM的大氣模式後(TaiCAM-SIT),此一簡單海氣耦合大幅改善TaiCAM模擬MJO的能力。準確模擬MJO一直是氣候模式發展的一大瓶頸。顯示SIT耦合到TaiCAMCAM5後皆大幅改善原本TaiCAMCAM5MJO模擬結果,尤其在wavenumber-frequency發生在季內周期與U850與降雨東傳的相關係數上。

上層海洋影響MJO的物理機制: 海氣交互作用對MJO的影響機制研究,都侷限於MJO在不同相位所在的海域,亦即MJO環流與對流與同一區域下面的海洋間的交互作用。在上期研究中,我們發現影響MJO的不僅侷限於MJO當下所在的海域,中太平洋到東太平洋的上層海洋對印度洋的MJO東傳趨勢與振幅扮演關鍵性影響。研究將進一步利用TaiESM-SIT進行海域敏感度測試,利用大氣場(OLRPREC、地表長短波淨輻射(NRF)、蒸發潛熱(LHF)、垂直風速(Omega)和濕度場輻合輻散(Divq))和海洋(SST和海溫剖面)的空間分布圖檢視模式模擬中大氣與海洋的交互作用,進而找出有利MJO發展的海洋條件做歸納及分析。
